Support ExxonMobil Investment in Baton Rouge
East Baton Rouge council members, school board members and the sheriff will soon be considering three ExxonMobil applications under the Industrial Tax Exemption Program (ITEP). In December, the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry unanimously approved these applications.
These applications represent $71.3 million in capital projects, $23 million in new tax revenue, and are expected to create 18 jobs in East Baton Rouge and 9 jobs in West Baton Rouge.

When companies invest in Baton Rouge, the entire community benefits through more tax payments and more people going to work. Louisiana’s ITEP program is central to attracting businesses to Baton Rouge and keeping them here. When a company invests in Louisiana through this program, more people are hired and workers are paid more.
ExxonMobil pays $32 million annually in property taxes and about $23 million annually in sales taxes after any tax credits, rebates and abatements. We are the largest property tax payer in East Baton Rouge Parish and in Louisiana. We want to continue to grow your tax base by bringing major projects here.
