ExxonMobil's Billings refinery started production in 1949, and can now process an up to 60,000 barrels per day of crude oil. Since that time, the refinery has grown to include 18 major processing units, increasing capacity to roughly 60,000 barrels of crude each day to produce gasoline, diesel, asphalt and propane. Affiliate XTO Energy is the fourth largest oil producer in Montana with production of approximately 5 kbd oil and 8 mcf of gas per day.
